Hello Glass list members, In case anyone is interested I have pedigree information on 11 generations of a Glasse family of Wiltshire, England. It spans the year 1709 to present. They were living all around the world, England, South Africa, Jamaica, Australia, US, etc. Unfortunately, none are listed in Ireland or Scotland. I also have a genealogical story of the first Glasse family to emigrate to the US from Taunton, Somerset, England. They settled in Massachusetts and emigrated here in the mid-1600's with a family called "Cogan".The family history spans briefly in the late 1500's to present. The original spelling for their name was "Glasse" but through the years it has evolved to "Glass". I really would be interested to know if any of you had the same situation with the spelling of your surname Glass. I also have some photocopied pages from three "Glass family bibles" (one in German) which lists the family of David Glass and Mary Keim. I copied them from a microfilm I had ordered from the LDS family history center. Cinncinati, Ohio is mentioned in one place, and the German entries mention Germany. There is also mention of John Alexander Glass, Thomas Jefferson Glass among others. I don't have it in front of me so I can't remember the other names but if you are interested I will give you further information. At one time the bibles belonged to Dorcas Willyard Boyer.
