Today I had a thought that perhaps she was from Rochester, NY which is a city my great grandfather visited often. Ireland In the 1875 Census for Town of Gates, NY (again a suburb of Rochester, NY): William GLASS age 46; b. England; occ. farmer Elizabeth GLASS age 45 wife, b. England Lucy L. HALE neice age 4, b. England Again, Town of Gates, NY (near Rochester, NY): John H. GLASS age 56 b. Ireland; occ. hard to read but some sort of manufacturing of something to do with ventilation. works in Rochester, NY Ruth A. GLASS age 49 wife; born in Monroe Co., NY (the county Rochester is in) Charles H. GLAss age 22; son; occ. farmer; b. Monroe Co. Ansel B. GLASS age 17; son; occ. can't read; b. Monroe co. Edith G.
