Does anyone know how to track down details of Roman Catholic Births/Baptisms and Marriages? I have the following details which I wish to confirm. The record taken from parish registers St Andrews, Roman Catholic, Crathie/Braemar, Aberdeenshire reads as follows ..... January 7th 1705, James Glass, Little Invery, a son, James. Godfather; James Farquharson, md, Dikkel, Inverey. Godmother; Elizabeth Mc Andrew, md, Achabador. In the IGI is a marriage in Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, which reads as follows ..... James Jean Moore R.C. W/M 11-11-1676 Strathdon The timing of this marriage and the possible birth of James Glass (father above) is a bit to close to be a coincidence. How can I check this out as apparently the Strathdon parish registers do not have Catholic entries (according to another researcher who has searched the particular film).
