I am doing Carr research and have been watching this list to see if any Glass' pop up that had intermarried with Carrs. It just so happens that Sally, who married Dudly Glass as his second wife, was a Carr. She had originally been a Phelps before she married Thomas Carr of Halifax Co. VA. (Source: HxCo will Book 3 Page 92. " John Phelps of Antrim Parish of Halifax..........To my children as follows: John Phelps, Sally Carr, Jane Byrne, Betsey Royster, Milley Pettey, Fanney Johnson, Polley Walne, granddaughter, Johannis Phelps ..... executor: son William Phelps.... My wife Drusilla..." Signed 4 Sep 1793, Exhibited in court on 27 Jan 1794) Then after her husband died in 1808 (Source: inventory of his estate in Hx Co Will Book 8 page 22) she married Dudley Glass (Source Hx Co Marriage Book 1 page 76). Dudley's will was exhibited 22 Oct 1827 Halifax Co WB14 p 347. Here he mentions his wife Sally. It is also interesting that Dudley Glass Sr's son Dudley Glass marries Thomas and Sally Carr's daughter Nancy Carr 2 Apr 1803. (Source HxCoMB1p52).
