Hi list members, I hope you are all having luck with your research. The list currently has almost one hundred members and seems to be running smoothly. I would be interested in hearing if anyone has had any significant assistance from being on the list, ie. have you found contacts or information that has helped you in your research. Please send a message to me directly. I would also like to put a pin in a world map of where each of you is located. If you would like to send me a message telling me the town, state and country it would be appreciated. I don't need your complete address unless you are happy to provide it. All information will remain private to me and will not be disclosed to other list members. My current project is sorting out all my accumulated (almost all Scottish) data and typing it into files that can be accessed easily for reference. Also the files can be sent as attachments to who ever they may be beneficial to. The files I have created so far are as follows ..... Census Extractions:- All census extractions that I have accumulated for Glass names in Scotland. Parish Registers: All Parish Register extractions for Glass and Coutts names that I have accumulated in Scotland. Monumental Inscriptions: All MI's that I have accumulated for Glass names in Scotland. As you can see the data is only for Scotland, where the bulk of my research is carried out. If you are researching in Scotland please let me know who and where you are researching and I shall see if I can help. If anyone researching in Scotland requires a copy of any one of these files I can send them as file attachments to you. They are all in WordPerfect format but can easily be converted by most word processing programs. Please do not request the files unless you have a specific need for them, they all cost Net time to transmit. If any list member has copies of any Scottish Census, Parish Registers or Monumental Inscriptions for the name Glass I would love to receive it for addition to the respective file. Perhaps some list member could do the same work for all of the USA researchers !!!! As mentioned in an earlier message I have all of the Glass & Coutts names from the Scottish and Irish IGI on my computer and am happy to do look-ups for anyone unable to make access to a LDS FHC. Finally in answer to Catherine Adams, Unfortunately Rootscom proceedures do not allow attachments to messages. If anyone wishes a copy of a very special photo of Princess Diana and I taken at Balmoral in 1985 I can send it to them directly.
