My great great great grandfather's name was James Glass born around 1780 somewhere in NC. I have no information on his parents, but do know that he had two brothers George and Napoleon Bonaparte. They can to KY via Tn before 1820. James married Sarah Lester in TN and napoleon married Desmondy Woolf. This ARNOLD was a GLASS on his mother's side. My GLASSes and ARNOLDs were in the Henry & Halifax Co., VA area ca. 1780 - 1820 (along the state line of NC). My GLASSes (Benjamin GLASS family) were in Barren Co., KY by the 1830 census. My ARNOLDs went from VA to Knox Co., TN where the older children married. The ARNOLDs then packed up and moved to Barren Co., KY in 1835 and lived next to the GLASSes. The ARNOLDs and GLASSes of Barren Co., KY intermarried there. Three ARNOLD sons and three GLASS sisters and their husbands, which included two PAYNE brothers, moved from Barren Co., KY to Hunt Co., TX by 1860.
