    3. Hi Bruce: I am heeding your advice. I hope someone will eventually provide me with some possible clues about Elisha (Elias, E.W. Glass) who was born about 1824. [Today our Glass mailing list broke the ton (100). We now have 104 members all with an interest in the Glass name. Obviously some of these new members do not know anything of the research of some of the earlier list members. If you wish them to know who or where you are researching you will need to re-post your information.] I have had no luck in finding the ancestry of Elisha (Elias, E.W.) Glass who came to California 1849/50 and died in Diamond Springs, El Dorado Co., CA in 1853. Supposedly he came from TN or KY. Surely someone has a missing several times great uncle who left to make his fortune and never came back. (He married and had a daughter in California - there is no evidence that he made his fortune.) His daughter was my great-grandmother. She married Henry Clay Holloway and they lived in Gilroy, Santa Clara Co., CA. He was called Elisha in family records; E.W. on his marriage record; Elias in the probate records. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
