Indies after service in Crimea, probably in early to mid 1850's. Parents John and Anne Grace G. of Saltash Devon, England. Left Western Australia after death of wife Sophia (nee Kellam, nee Gomez) in childbirth 1852 aged 33. William was close to same age but do not have a DOB. Known to have gone to S. Africa then reputedly back to UK to rejoin army, to Crimea, to W. Indies. John in Western Australia.
