Jay, Thanks for the reply. >Could William's mother be Mary Ann WAKEHAM? Yes William's death certificate states that his mother's name was Mary Ann Wakeham but does not state his father's name. >Could James' mother be Elizabeth BENNET? I don't know. I have only just received the information that James was William's cousin. I have a bit of research to do. I will take a look at that database. Thanks, Dave. -----Original Message----- From: Jay Glanville [mailto:JGlanville@compuserve.com] Sent: Wednesday, 13 June 2001 9:14 To: GLANVILLE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: GLANVILLE-D Digest V01 #1 David, Could William's mother be Mary Ann WAKEHAM? Hi All, I am seeking connections on William Glanville who was born in Devon around ?1814? to ?John? and Mary Glanville. William was transported in 1831 as a convict and arrived in New South Wales, Australia in 1832. William worked as a Baker's Boy before he was transported. I am also after connections on a cousin of the above William. The cousin was James Glanville. James immigrated on the "Alfred" to New South Wales in 1857 at the age of 22. So James would have been born about ?1835? James was a farm labourer from St. Budeaux. James' parents names were James and Elizabeth. I would be interested to hear from anyone who can help me with any connections to these names. Regards, David Glanville

I am a descendent of Daniel Glanville (born 1819) in St Columb Major, Cornwall. He is the son of Richard Glanville and Lucy Veale. In 1837, Daniel and several of his siblings came to Australia, and lived in the Shoalhaven area of NSW. I am interested in the Glanville history in Cornwall. Greg Lloyd
