The RootsWeb GenConnect Boards, as they were previously known, have been undergoing change for the past week. For the moment, they are called "RootsWeb Message Boards (insert surname, locality or topic)". These Boards are accessible by clicking on the Queries link for the old surname board. However, anyone wishing to use the changed boards now must establish an "Ancestry.com" username and password. This change-over has been frustrating to many Board Administrators and thus may cause some "Users" a great deal of frustration. Therefore, if anyone has problems with the boards, please contact me privately and I will try to provide assistance. Mailto:[email protected] At the moment, all RootsWeb Message Boards are gatewayed to each corresponding RootsWeb Mailing List meaning when a query or data is posted on the Board, it will also be posted on the List shortly thereafter. In some cases, it may not be obvious that a List message is coming from a Board post; however, a line in header within the message will indicate such. That headed is: Sender: [email protected] Hopefully, sometime in the future, programmers will include a URL link within the body to the Board post. Regards, Jim Young
