I have found a little information on your Thomas Abner Glanton. He was a mystery man in what I call my 'puzzle box' - which is all my Glanton information - divided by decades, states and counties. In Arkansas, I had this Thomas A. Glanton and his wife, 'Selie', which I thought was Sally, misspelled. I knew he was from Georgia, yet I couldn't place him with any of my other info on Georgia Glantons. A few minutes ago I was sorting through papers on my desk to see if there was anything there I had not added to my puzzle box - and the printout of your ROOTSWEB post to me about Thomas Abner marrying Cecilia Vines was the first sheet of paper I plucked out of the pile - so I sauntered over to Heard County in 1871 and added in the birth info. I was about to scan forward to add the marriage info in Arizona in 1893 - when I realized how much Cecelia sounded like 'Selie' - so instead I went to see my mystery man. There he was, on the 1910 Arkansas census - in Nevada County! So - that was Nevada County, ARKANSAS, not Arizona. Maybe you meant Arkansas the whole time. You had the state initials as AR. I believe Arkansas is AK - though I'm not sure, myself. The two always confuse me, so I use the old ARK. 1900 - Arkansas Census - Nevada County Thomas Glanton 29 (b. (s) 7 " Thomas A. (s) 3 " Comments : I used the Soundex Cards to gather this info and left the spellings as I found them. I was amused by the initial 'L' appearing for four children in a row. I also wondered if 'Author', (Arthur), grew up to become a writer! There are a lot of Thomas A. Glantons. My main source for Glanton info in the beginning of my research - was a Thomas Abner Glanton - who lives not far from LaGrange, GA. There MUST be a relation - though I have yet to find it. By 1920 all but one child in the family had left Arkansas. I'll let you know if I find them.
