Hello list, .I opened a an old box of genealogy papers, some handwritten and some copied from the computer. Apparently I wrote down the name of Martin HOOLEY who was my grt grt grandfather born in Ireland somewhere. Beside his name was written Croft Street 1841.. now I found his son, my Grt Grandfather Thomas HOOLEY at this street in SWANSEA before he married and wondered if someone could check if Martin was living there also. I do not know his date of birth or who he married , when and where. He was shown as deceased on his sons marriage certificate in 1857 but have never found his death anywhere. I tried Freecen but no 1841 census. This would be the collapse of a huge brick wall if it proved to be grt grt grandad....I have been looking for him for years. Would greatly appreciate it if some kind soul could help please. This has been a great list in helping me find my ancestors and hoping you can help me once again. Many thanks for any information. Kind regards, Mary
I quickly tried ancestry's 1841 census with no luck - almost no Hooleys, either. I hope some one else will do better than I.
