Jill, There are Leyson families in Neath Higher in 1841. The parish covers Ystradgynlais, but I found some in Ystradvellte (Ystradfellte), notably at Maesmarchog and The Mill - I suspect that this is the Hill/Mill you refer to, and is not the one in Neath Abbey. These are in modern Banwen.
