    3. Hello, I don't know whether you have already found John Ellis and Thomas Ellis in the 1901 census, but they are boarders at 25 Pant Street. The family at 7 Pant Street consists of Henry Evans, his wife Blanch, five children and some boarders surname Horston. You can look at the street on google maps. My Grandmother Mary Ann Ellis gave birth to her daughter Sarah Ann in February 1902 at this address. I am trying to ascertain whether she went to this address to give birth or whether it was the family home, in which case I would hope to find Thomas Ellis her husband, and possibly his father John Ellis could also be there. I have a big gap to fill in before I find the family re-united in Treharris in 1911 census. When I was over in wales in May, I was able to consult the Bridgend workhouse admission/discharges and faith registers. I knew that my Father was born there in May 1903, I think because the medical treatment was free and Mary Ann is already in there early 1903, then I found an admission for David Vane, her son by a previous marriage, he was admitted 2nd Feb 1903 for reason 'deserted'. On 14th Feb 1903 Sarah Ann who would be just about 1 year old, is also admitted for reason 'deserted' which would lead me to believe that the father, Thomas Ellis, was not in the workhouse . Both children were discharged from the workhouse by the 'Mother' 10 August, 1903.
