Hi, I am from the US and looking for anyone who has the name JANE WILLIAMS born on July 31, 1848 in Merthyr, Tydfil, Wales. She married a Taliesen Bevan in Llaniddall on Dec 22, 1866. She was the daughter of David Williams and Mary Davis. She also had a sister Ann. I have all the information on her after immigrating to the US. but have hit a brick wall on her parents. I believe her sister immigrated to Pa. also. Mary Davis and David Williams were marriede in the Carmel Chapel in Merthyr Tydfil on Jan 28, 1843. I have a copy of the marriage certificate from the GRO. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Hello Firstly Llaniddall, I presume is in the Pontypool registration district and you haven't decipered the place name correctly. A Jane Williams married a Taliesin Bevan in the Pontypool registration district, in the last quarter of 1866, (possibly Llanhilleth). (http://www.freebmd.org.uk/). Which is on another board dealing with Monmouthshire. Perhaps you could add some more information, no matter how small, such as When did Jane emigrate with Taliesin etc? In The 1851 Wales Census, At tram Road Sides, Merthyr, there is a Williams family that may fit your description.
