Hello List, I should be very grateful if anyone could let me know if they have any knowledge of Mattock of Queen Street Cardiff who appers to have a drapery business in 1891 plus he is a Superintendent of Postal Telegraphs.His name was Charles Mattock aged 42 born Somerset. I am interested because a member of his staff in 1891 was a Maggie Pergrin(probably Peregrine) who was a draper's assistant in his business. She was aged 24. It is stated she was born at Cardiff but this is probably wrong, and I believe she was born in Newport Pembrokeshire. I am helping a friend trace her. We believe she went to Cardiff because of family connections at Cardiff. Prior to this, she lived at Login near Whitland Carmarthenshire. It would be very helpful to know if Mr Charles Mattock was a draper as well as a Superintendment of Postal Telegraphs. Many thanks Yvonne Evans
