    3. I suspect that it is a quotation from Psalm 103 verse 16. " then the wind blows on it, and it is gone— no one sees it again." The wording is not identical to the 1588 Welsh Bible on National Library of Wales web site, but it is close. 3. Spot on Jeff, The Welsh version of Psalm 103. 16 that I have reads: "*Canys y gwynt a â drosto,ac ni bydd mwy ohono; a'i le nid edwyn ddim ohono ef mwy."* a loose translation of verses 15 & 16: The psalmist compares *man's days to a blade of grass, as a flower in a field, so he flowers;* *for the wind blows over it, and it will be no more; and its place will no longer know it.* Kind regards, Deric On 24 April 2015 at 00:35, Jeff Coleman via <glamorgan@rootsweb.com> wrote: > I suspect that it is a quotation from Psalm 103 verse 16. > > " then the wind blows on it, and it is gone-- > no one sees it again." > > The wording is not identical to the 1588 Welsh Bible on National Library of > Wales web site, but it is close. > > Jeff > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Don Howell via" <glamorgan@rootsweb.com> > To: "Don Howell" <howell.donald@ozemail.com.au>; <glamorgan@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Friday, April 24, 2015 12:16 AM > Subject: Re: [GLA] Translation > > > > Sorry I have a couple of errors in the wording. > > > > Correct one is as follows: > > > > "Y gwynt a aeth drosto, a/ ni bydd mwy o hono, a'i le nid/ edwyn dim o > > hono > > ef mwy" > > > > Thanks > > > > Don Howell > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Don Howell via > > Sent: Friday, April 24, 2015 8:55 AM > > To: glamorgan@rootsweb.com > > Subject: [GLA] Translation > > > > I was wondering if someone could translate the following from a > gravestone > > inscription.
