    3. Hello, I use Internet Explorer and the links from the Wales Collection don't work for me either. However, if you search for individual sets of Welsh records in the "A-Z of record sets" e.g. Glamorgan Banns, the links do work. Pamela -----Original Message----- From: Roy Davies via Sent: Thursday, March 05, 2015 2:27 PM To: glamorgan@rootsweb.com Subject: [GLA] New problem with Find My Past? Hello, I have been trying to access Welsh parish records from the web page at Find My Past that lists all the special collections. Special Collections http://www.findmypast.co.uk/articles/world-records/search-all-uk-records/special-collections Some of the links on that page work when I click on them and others don't. Among the ones that I cannot get access to are all the links that I have tried in the Wales Collection. Whenever I click on one of the Welsh links I get a message saying Safari (my web browser since I use an Apple Mac) cannot open the page because it can't find the server "search.findmypast". In case it is a problem with Safari I tried using Google Chrome instead. The only difference that made is that I got a longer, more detailed error message which I don't understand. The server at *search.findmypast.* can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network. As I also have Windows installed on my Mac running under some software that allows other operating systems to be installed, I tried using Internet Explorer and got an error message saying "this page can't be displayed. Make sure the web address http://www.findmypast.co.uk is correct." Is anyone else have problems with the Wales Collection? 3. Pat Allen Hi Gwen, myself and others were discussing this yesterday and the solution is in hand. It is easy to fix yourself, however, until the technical stuff is done. When you click on an item in the collection list, and you get the page not found display, go to the address bar at the top and after "findmypast." insert co.uk and you will get what you want. It is a pain, I know but we were assured yesterday that it would be fixed soon This is the reply I just got on FMP facebook page. Hope it helps Gwen -----E-mail d'origine----- De : David Marsden via <glamorgan@rootsweb.com> A: Roy Davies <roydavies@gmail.com>; glamorgan <glamorgan@rootsweb.com> Envoyé le : Je, 5 Mar 2015 16:17 Sujet : Re: [GLA] New problem with Find My Past? 3. Many thanks to everyone who made suggestions. They are all useful and I am able to find what I want now. However, I do wish that Find My Past would stop making changes that make it harder to find what you want! Thanks again, Roy
