    3. It might be possible to get advice from The DEVON list who have done much work on Wills. Try Brian RandallAlso many S Wales families have links with Devon and Somerset as people crossed the Bristol Channel. Sue   From: Rob Weeks via <glamorgan@rootsweb.com> To: Glam list <glamorgan@rootsweb.com>; Dyfed List <dyfed@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, 6 February 2015, 12:44 Subject: [GLA] David Jones, Wallington Many thanks for the replies.  My aim was to make more people aware of this resource and hopefully create some interest in putting the information on a searchable database as like Graham, a lot of us are unable to visit Cardiff or NLW on a regular basis . Bob's reply to the Glam list  has confirmed it is an excellent source and Jeff's reply to Dyfed has pointed out that some wills abstracted by David Jones can no longer be located, so even more important that this information is made more widely available . Also as I pointed out , the MI's were done many years ago so could very well contain information which was lost before the excellent work on MI indexing. My computer skills are limited but I do know enough to realise that it is  possible to put the will abstracts and the MI's on a searchable database without too much hassle which would save us all a lot of effort in the future.  The wills on line at NLW are a very useful source  but can be difficult to read particularly if your eyesight is getting worse like mine. Having spent many days  trying to read older wills only to find there is no possible connection to my family , I would appreciate a  searchable database  which would narrow down the number of wills  I have to try and decipher. Similarly, pedigrees constructed by individuals  in the distant past  can give us valuable pointers of where to look next. I appreciate they may not be accurate  but there is often a very limited amount of material available pre 1800  so these can be a very good starting point.  A searchable database of all the old pedigrees could be very useful. I appreciate there is lot of work involved  and would be very happy to help.
