Can't find any mention of a chapel or church in Cwmfelinfach. A quick search of the place name brings you to this parish detail on Genuki: http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/MON/Mynyddyslwyn/. Perhaps someone else has better local knowledge. According to my great aunt's bible, she attended Church there probably between 1920 (possibly a little earlier) and 1926. She left Wales in 1926 to come to Australia. I subscribe to this list and not the Monmouthshire one so hopefully someone will be able to suggest somewhere. Thanks, Irene Victoria, Australia
Apologies to Luned, who was erroneously sent this message off list. Obviously a bad hair day as I had several sentences repeated, which are now corrected, here is my message of yesterday. John has since made some excellent suggestions, which should be followed. -----Original Message----- From: Jill Muir [mailto:jill@shottle.plus.com] Sent: Saturday, February 28, 2015 6:45 PM To: 'Luned's' Subject: RE: [GLA] Church records. So assume she was going by horse then that would not be far particularly if they went by mountain track which would be much quicker. It could be that someone else has added to your ancestors Bible. Pretty sure that Luned who lives in the area and has local knowledge would know more and could comment on my thoughts. I am pretty blind re the area. Jill http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~glamorgan/
