I am attempting to follow my ancestors with the surnames listed. David ARNOLD, my 3rd great grandfather was born abt. 1793 in Llanwonno, Glamorgan, Wales. He died on 23 Sep 1864 in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorganshire, Wale. He married a Jennet JENKINS on 21 Nov 1818 in Aberdare St. John, Glamorgan, Wales. Jennet Jenkins was born in 1791-93 in Llanwonno, and died Apr 1872 in Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorganshire, Wale. I know nothing of the parents of either David ARNOLD or Jennet JENKINS. I have been following were their immigrants sons, William, Thomas (my direct ancestor), and Joseph. They had a son, Richard, who remained in Wales and several daughters. David ARNOLD was listed as a "collier" in Aberdare on one of the census records. In the U.S., William worked in a forge, Thomas was a puddler (where he met and married his wiffe Mary Lucinda Gammons), and Joseph worked in a rolling mill in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania.
