Thank you, Deric and Hugh, for your inputs. The background to my enquiry is that an emergent community group is debating what to call itself. 'Synergedd/synergy' certainly catches how we hope to work. I know that pre-industrial Welsh life had strong communal values, and so I wondered if there was a (maybe archaic) expression that caught the value-added sense of " together we achieve more than the sum of our several efforts".
