Jane and All, There are several people of various generations that were named David Arnold. One bornin 1834 was a younger son of David and Jennet whose name was Joseph David Arnold. He emigrated to the U.S. and lived in Pennsylvania. I've also found another son of David/Jennet who was named after the father. He was born in 1855 from what I've found. My second great grand uncle, Richard Arnold (another son of David/Jennet who remained back in Wales) had a son named David Arnold born on 08 Dec 1854 in Merthyr Tydfil. He married a Catherine David in 1881 in Wales. At some point this uncle emigrated to New South Wales, Australia where he died in 1940. We knew so little of David and Jennet and their life back in Aberdare, which is why we were hoping to try and trace his line back in Wales. Thanks for all of your help!
