Hi Marcelle, Thomas is shown aged 9 years with his parents, James and Elizabeth and siblings on 1841 census. Remember that in 1841 census, correctly all people over the age of 15 are shown with ages rounded down. ie a 36 year old is aged between 36 and 40 years. As I said, that was the correct way to do this, but many enumerators ignored this rule and gave the age that they were told.
