    1. [GLA] Help on a burial record - ROWE
    2. I have a burial record from FreeREG for Eleanor Rowe, died 5 Apr 1866 in Whitchurch per the death certificate, buried 7 Apr. 1866 in Pentyrch. The "Abode" is listed as Tir. .Ddig. Is anyone familiar with this "Abode" abbreviation? Is it a town/hamlet/village and what is the proximity to Whitchurch or Pentyrch? Rose in Maryland, USA

    3. Hello Rosamond I had a look at the 1861 Census for the village of Pentyrch. Rock and Castle Inn no 10 on the Census list Cwmtelyn is no 12 on the Census Your Eleanor is living with her husband John at no 23 on the Census in the village of Pentyrch. If you have a look at GENUKI, then for Pentyrch you will get to the following link. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Pentyrch/ Then just search the Old Maps http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Pentyrch/#Maps Gareth --- On Sun, 29/5/11, rosamond.brown@verizon.net <rosamond.brown@verizon.net> wrote: I have a burial record from FreeREG for Eleanor Rowe, died 5 Apr 1866 in Whitchurch per the death certificate, buried 7 Apr. 1866 in Pentyrch.  The "Abode" is listed as Tir. .Ddig.
