Hi List. I have been catching up on the last week or so of e.mails. The one from Edward Llwellyn-Jones caught my eye. I have Alice Butcher died aged six, with no death certificate at Bridgend Office or the G.R.O. She is the first name on the family gravestone in the Nebo Chapel in Cefn Cribwr, Glamorganshire. Her parents were Thomas Butcher and Sarah Haines, both of Wiltshire. They married in Glamorgan in 1852, one month before Alice died. Thomas and Sarah knew each other in Wiltshire as they both lived as children in the same house. Thomas is on the 1851 census in Cefn. There is no sign of Sarah or Alice. There is also no birth certificate for Alice anywhere, so far. I do not hold out much hope of finding any more information. Brian
