Many thanks to several loyal listers who gave me some valuable advice on this subject.  I was able to find the pub where my ancestor lived in 1891.  The place formerly called "Castell Coch" is in the village of Tongwynlais.  Eglwysilan was shown in the census as the civil parish.  The hamlet of that name was also located.    Roland Purnell California
