Thank you so much to the people who have responded to my appeal for help. I would like to ask two more questions. My Lawler family were Irish and Roman Catholic. Is there any way that I would be able to find a christening for a child born around 1849 in Ardare? Hugh Lawler's wedding certificate gives his place of birth as (looks like) 'Penrith', Wales. I suspect that this is the English version of a Welsh name. Any ideas where that could be? Thanks again Clare in Australia
