    3. Robert, thanks for prompt reply. Over the last 10 years I used Family Search ,original version and found most of what I needed then. I have now returned to ,Williamson research, lateral lines and find that names of this family do not come up on a display, new to me, 'HISTORICAL COLLECTIONS.' For example JAMES WILLIAMSON B 1784 in Scotland and there after in Wales from 1814 with his marriage.The direct mainly,male line was fairly easy and closed with my birth in 1938 . It must be me as all info. cannot have got last totally ,but all I can access using Family search is American information--------- I have also had problems with Colquhouns 1679 onwards part of the same tree. Does this make sense? Cheers Sue

    3. Hi Sue It's true that it default to searches in the US (as you would expect) but if you click Advanced Search then you can specify countries and localities.
