Dear listers has anyone access to the marriage registers for the Ystradyfodwg area. I have a THOMAS RICHARDS marrying a MARY ANN REES reg. Pontypridd March quarter 1883 11a 544. I desperately need the groom's father to have the same christian name as his son (Thomas). I have recently found a fellow researcher who has the fathers name as Edward but I would like to have definite proof i.e. extracts from the register. According to the other researcher there was a marriage at Nebo Baptist Chapel Pontypridd on 19th March 1883 but I haven't been shown any proof and as we all know it is so easy to go down the wrong path. Any help would be greatly appreciated Beryl

Hi I have checked our database and the father is not Thomas in the marriage of Thomas Richard and Mary Ann Rees. As the information has been indexed directly by ourselves from the registers held in the Pontypridd Registry Office unfortunately I cannot confirm details of parents to you.
