David Jones of Wallington, Surrey was born in Llanblethian in 1834 and educated in Cowbridge. His biography can be seen on the NLW website http://yba.llgc.org.uk/en/s1-JONE-DAV-1834.html Many of his MI entries were transcribed by Glamorgan FHS members to supplement the MI transcriptions in the older graveyards, especially where the headstones are now illegible. The majority of David Jones research is in Cardiff Library (not Glamorgan Archives) and is currently being transcribed for the Library by Jean Jones. Hopefully it will be available in electronic format there in the future.
