Dear List, Is anyone familiar with the Bazaar, Porth? What exactly is it? today's version of a hypervalue? or back then more upper class? A bazaar was another form of a Chapel jumble Sale to me as a child. I was always given the white elephant stall to look after. I'm trying to track down the sole beneficiary to a member of my family. This person is unknown to me " Annie Lewis" Cardiff. Annie Lewis is also buried with another family member another Lewis in Ferryside Carmarthenshire. I haven't been able to track down any details on Annie Lewis, ( marriage, census ) I did find and send away for her death certificate, Died June 1920, Shirley Road, Cardiff, wife of William George Lewis, Retired Boot Dealer. The burial records show Annie as a Widow, the informant of her death R. Lewis brother-in-law, in attendance The Bazaar, Porth, Glam. If anyone can help with the Bazaar, or who is R. Lewis .
