Hi group: I have a marriage certificate for a William Jones to Caroline Jones, that states that at the time of marriage they were living in Blaenllechau, in Glamorgan. The parish name I can't make out. It appears to be Hanwg???. Any help appreciated. An easy one this. Llanwonno, sometimes written as Llanwyno http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Llanwonno/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry Thompson" <lt0168@epix.net> To: "glamorgan mailing list" <GLAMORGAN@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 01, 2011 6:18 PM Subject: [GLA] Help determining Parish name > Hi group: > I have a marriage certificate for a William Jones to Caroline Jones, > that states that at the time of marriage they were living in > Blaenllechau, in Glamorgan. Blaenllechau was in Llanwonno parish ( also known as Llanwynno) http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/GLA/Llanwonno/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ystradyfodwg and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llanwynno may be helpful. Note particularly the links at the end of the GENUKI page to maps of the areas within the parish, including Blaenllechau Jeff ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry Thompson" <lt0168@epix.net> To: "glamorgan mailing list" <GLAMORGAN@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 01, 2011 6:18 PM Subject: [GLA] Help determining Parish name > Hi group: > I have a marriage certificate for a William Jones to Caroline Jones, > that states that at the time of marriage they were living in > Blaenllechau, in Glamorgan.
