Dear Listers, I am in the process of transferring my current to a different server, hosted by www.HostPapa.co.uk/. The website will then operate from a new URL, which I will announce when the transfer is complete. I will then begin to shut down my old website. The new webhost provides me with far more webspace and will enable me, for example, to make available my entire archive collection of 'Images of Wales' webpages, currently only accessible on request as 'Retrospectives'. I shall also take the opportunity to drop or 'freeze' some of the current features on my website, to give me more time to concentrate on the development of major projects such as the 'Welsh Churches and Chapels Collection'. I plan to retain in full the following Wales-related features: - Christ College Brecon (census details) - Glossary of Welsh Place-Names - Images of Wales (NEW one-click access to entire archive) - Keturah's Diary - Llangar (MER) Parish Records - Maps of Wales - Tallis's Topographical Dictionary - Weather in Wales - Welsh Churches and Chapels Collection - Welsh Gravestone Inscriptions I plan to 'freeze' or remove the following Wales-related features: - Frequently Asked Questions (remove) - Links to On-line Resources (remove) - Photographic Service (remove) - Retrospective Images of Wales (to be replaced by direct access to Images of Wales archive) - Sounds of Wales (no new entries to be added) - Wales of Old (no new entries to be added) - Welsh Ancestor List (no new entries to be added) I expect to complete the transfer of files onto my new website by the weekend of 9th April. I will then announce my new web address. The next Retrospectives, due on 2 April will be the last, as requests for Retrospectives will no longer be necessary. Most of the General Interest area of my website will be transferred unchanged.
