It sounds much more likely than a church in Newton Nottage. A quick search on Google has shown me that St. Mary's Church, Nolton is in the parish of Coity, Nolton and Brackla. Information on the parish of Coity, Nolton and Brackla is on the following site: http://www.coitywithnolton.org.uk/ Clicking on churches, then on Nolton brings up photographs of the exterior and interior of the church.
