Hi Phil, While the Hennessys did record 'Proud to be a Citizen of Cardiff', Dave Burns did not write it. I did. And, as I have told my friend Dan O'Neill more than once, it is a satire on people like him and other "little Cardiffians" who are happy to live in the capital of Wales, but regard the language as in some way a threat to them.
