    3. Glebe Street not Globe Street. Not very clear on that page, but very clear on adjacent pages. I don't know of any Globe Street in Penarth, but Glebe Street is still there. You can see it on Google Maps StreetView. It looks as if part of it has been in an urban regeneration area, from the uniformly restored housefronts. Some of the little shops you can imagine having been shops for 130 years or more with a facelift every now and again. Penarth Dock was both larger than most, so more suitable for larger vessels, and also possibly quicker turn-around than Cardiff docks in late 19th century, which could be a reason for him to end up there. However this William GALE was aged 28 in 1871 and his wife, born in New York, aged 27, so not likely to have married in the 1850s! So quite possibly a different couple.
