I understand that Ancestry have not copies Findmypast census entries for 1911 but have transcribed them from the original census records. I have Findmy past but cannot locate my fathers great aunt Dinah Rees on the 1911 census. There is a couple of the correct names living in Morriston but they are not mine. Could someone check for me please? The couple married.on the 4 August 1901 at Merthyr Tydfil Register Office. John Rees was 24 years of age a coal miner. On the 1901 census he declares that he is from Clydach Vale aged 25 years. He was living in Abercanaid with a John Evans an uncle of Dinah Evans as she was at that time. Dinah formerly Evans was 20 years of age at the time of her marriage but on the 1901 census declares that she is 19 years of age therefore her birthday is between April & August. The family said that they moved back to the Rhondda. I have also been unable to locate her birth certificate! This is very strange as she was the fourth child of Richard & Rhoda Evans they must have taken her in as was not uncommon at the time. No sign of a birth registration of a Dinah to a Richard & Rhoda Evans & none of the Dinah Evans registered were illegitimate in Pontypridd or Merthyr Tydfil. I hope you can assist as I am at a deadend as I cannot locate Dinah's correct death either. Regards Heather Glam 3751#

Hello Heather, I have been unable to find them at all, and only likely one I found [with an adopted daughter] is the one in Morriston. I don't suppose that they went abroad did they? There was a large contingent of Merthyr people who became Mormons and went to America. Could it be that they went but returned later? I think I would go back to your source and ask if they have more details, as something doesn't seem quite right here with the information that you want. Often when you ask people, later they recall something that they hadn't told you, which may make the difference to your research. Odd you cannot find her Birth. Was Dinah her real name? I know she used it at marriage, but lots of people were christened one name and later used another. Just my thoughts on this. I have really hunted for them, in Wales and the UK. Why have you disregarded the couple in Morriston BTW?
