Wow! I thought I'd share this with everyone so forgive me if it's common knowledge and seems like I'm touting - I'm truly not touring but am excited by it.... I've just received my first ever android smart phone so have been trolling around, as you do, to find what apps might suit my interests. Imagine my delight when I came across an application called Billion Graves.... Basically -- anyone with a smart phone can participate and help map out every grave in every cemetery simply by taking a photo of each headstone on their smartphone and recording it's location automatically -- the photos are uploaded to the website and automatically added to the database so anyone can search for and see the headstone/details - you can transcribe the info quickly online. I'm off to my local cemetery here in Christchurch NZ tomorrow to make a start! I imagine there's a huge number of fellow researchers out there looking for graves so this is such an interesting option to be able to use... Cheers Lynda
