Gareth, I have tried many different times to search on this site you mentioned but to no avail. I am looking for the family of my grandparents in St Pancras, Middlesex. England In 1901 Census they lived at 3 Sandwich Street, Sub-registration District Grays In Lane. In the household should be his wife, Jane Emma, and childred, Jane, William, John and May. I have tried by name and by address but get nowhere. Can you help? With thanks. Can you use the surname only with Middlesex? Any really unusual first name that you might find? I have Lacy's in the US who I have to use their first name only because the "L" morphs into S and some that I can only wonder at. http://www.1911census.co.uk/ is the web site that has the full 1911 census. Ancestry is gradually attempting to improve its coverage of head of household in 1911, as I understand it. You can do searching for free using the advanced search facility to identify people in the same household with someone with a distinctive name.
