    1. Re: [GLA] BOSLEY Thomas & EVANS Ellen
    2. Jeff Coleman via
    3. There is a marriage of Thomas BOSLEY in December quarter 1860 in Merthyr Tydfil ( GRO ref 11a 500) and one of the other parties on the page is Ann HARRIS. She might have been a widow with maiden name LEWIS. There is a possible marriage in March quarter 1857 in Merthyr Tydfil (GRO ref 11a 441) of Ann LEWIS and David HARRIS , though that may just be a coincidence of names. There are a number of other cases in Merthyr registration district of possible marriages of Ann or Anne LEWIS and a male HARRIS, in 1856, 1852 and 1846. This from www.freebmd.org.uk , probably the best free search engine for registrations of births marriages and deaths in England and Wales from 1837 to the mid-20th century. 3. Hi List On the 1861 Census for Merthyr William Jones is living at 10 Penry/Pendry Street with his parents, David Jones & mother Hannah. I'm trying to decipher the occupation for William. On his Marriage Certificate his profession is listed as 'Musician' but on the 1861 Census, only a few months before his marriage, I cannot read what is stated as his profession/occupation but it's certainly not musician. Hope some clever person can understand it. Also, does anyone know if a beer house or an Inn of some kind was at that address as his father is listed as a Publican. Hope someone can help. 3. Hello Irene The Cemetery office will be able to supply you with a map, I remember them doing so when I visited a few years back. Trealaw cemetery comes under the Rhondda Cynon Taff office at Cemetery Road, Glyntaf, Pontypridd CF37 4BE or you could try a phone call on 01443 402810. Hope that helps ...
