There were 25 other Male HARMAN Marriages in Glamorgan.  Please Note:- There is no other information gleaned from Glamorgan Family History Society  Marriage Indexes on Microfiche. Just who married Who,and where. No vicar,no Witnesses, ages, or anything else. Back to St;Fagans:- Jennette HARMAN of Whitchurch was buried 26 November 1811 aged 86. David HARMAN of Whitchurch buried 11 june 1835 aged 26.   Other marriages in St;Fagans:-   Elizabeth HARMAN married to Thomas HOWELLS of Whitchurch 19 novemeber 1825. 3. It's free to use in Cardiff Central library too. Just put your library card number in. Then your Password number and your in. In  just under an hour a message pops up to say your time is nearly up. I usually ask the Librarian if I can have another hour? According to how busy they are, this is usually granted. Photocopies cost 20 pence. The only problem being the photocopier is on the fourth floor, and the computer's to FMP on, are  on the fifth floor. Can I hear someone say....."Yes, But use the computers on the forth floor?" No good! They are fully occupied by Students. Have fun. Graham. Graham Williams, Glam;FHS# 551. of Canton,Cardiff.

    2. Jeff Coleman
    3. There is a change of speaker for this meeting, which takes place at 7pm on Monday 8th July 2013 at the Civic Centre, Swansea (former West Glamorgan County Hall) probably in committee room 2. Ask at the desk if not sure of where the meeting is. Clive Reed will now be giving the third of a series of illustrated talks on the Swansea Canal, its history, and the history of the places and industries along its banks. Previous talks have followed the canal up the valley from Swansea docks as far as Ynystawe, and this talk will continue from Ynystawe through Clydach towards Pontardawe. Clive is extremely knowledgeable and contributions from the audience about locations shown will be welcomed. Jeff

    3. In Maine, and I think all of it, including the state library, computer use is free and I believe unlimited. Ancestry is also available at the state library and at least some towns (worth asking). I also suspect this (computer use and Ancestry) is true in most? all? US states? Vague, I know, but it is worth asking about. I am doubtful about FMP but I may ask. 3. This looks very interesting for those requesting information about Australian ports as well as Quebec entries. I know we have had many Canadian and Australian questions but the bit about children under 3 not being counted is most interesting tidbit (to me anyway) Eliz Not Today and Not without a Fight (Anon) For all that has been, thanks. For all that will be, yes. (Dag Hammarskjold) ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Susan Swiggum <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Jul 2, 2013 at 3:09 PM Subject: [TSL] *new* for TheShipsList website *new* for TheShipsList website http://www.theshipslist.com/ All the new and updated files and databases have been placed on their own page(s) Find them on the front page in between the big arrows --------------> <--------------- At the bottom of each of these pages I have placed links named " previous month " and " next month " so you are able to navigate back and forth between the monthly *new & updated* pages, as I only keep three months of *new* page links on the Home page. New for June 2013 is . . . o Ship Arrivals: o Ships to Quebec 1831 ...still in progress, however ... ... as I'd written last month, the first page completely finished .. with some really great stuff, even if you aren't looking for 1831 Quebec arrivals o Immigration Reports: o Immigration Reports for Adelaide, 1866-1867 arrivals (October 1867 report added) o Passengers: o South Australia o S.S Aldinga, ex S.S. Great Britain, from Liverpool to Hobson Bay, Vic., to Port Adelaide 16th April 1869 o SS. Penola, ex ship Gresham, from Plymouth to Hobson's Bay, Vic. to Port Adelaide 29th June 1869 o o Quebec Steamboats o John Molson - 2nd trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 3rd May 1831 o St. Lawrence - 1st trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 4th May 1831 o Chambly - 3rd trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 7th May 1831 o St. Lawrence - 2nd trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 11th May 1831 The two lists of South Australia arrivals for 1869 are pretty fascinating. There were no direct lists of assisted emigrants to SA in 1869, instead, emigrants arrived at Port Melbourne, on the vessels named above, and then took coastal steamers to Port Adelaide. At first we didn't know how the women who had arrived at Melbourne on the Gresham, had gotten to Adelaide, but then I found this ... thank you Trove !! >> The s.s. Penola, Captain F. P. Snewin, left the Queen's Wharf yesterday morning, for Adelaide, via the intermediate South Australian ports. On reaching the bay she went alongside the immigrant ship Gresham, from London, and took on board a number of single women, who have come out in the Gresham, for Adelaide, via Melbourne << The 1831 Quebec steamboats are coming along very nicely. After finishing the earlier newspaper issues, I moved back to the beginning of the 1831 steamboats and I must say, I think the 2nd trip of the ST. LAWRENCE has been my most favourite... maybe ever. It was a little frustrating because rather than numbering the emigrants, the compiler just numbered the lines. He was however very precise about the passengers with first names of the head, instead of initials, and relationships indicated, like sister-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and even father-in-law. Because of his numbering, I now have it confirmed that there was NO fare charged for children under 3 years. This means that if the other lists don't show enough children when someone finds possible ancestors, by reading numbers and the fare, we now know that those lists just don't record the under 3 children at all. Please share this *new* for TheShipsList website email, with any other list to which you belong if you think it might be of interest or value to those list members (in other words, on-topic).
