I am looking for the parents of Samuel Givens, b. 1794, Chester, South Carolina , died , 1889, possibly buried in Egger Cemetery, Lowndes, county, Mississippi, and his wife Cynthia Milligan Givens, b. 1789, South Carolina. (UNknown where she is buried). They had a son Zenas Nelson Givens who was my gg grandfather, Zenas Married Margaret Kolb , in Caledona, Lowndes Co. Mississippi. They moved to Scotland, Van Buren County, Arkansas about 1880. Margaret had been married previously to James Holland Egger, and had 4 children by him, 1)Cornelle, died at birth, 2)James Holland Egger Jr.,married Frances Kendrick, 3) Mary Frances Egger m. James Henry Warren Stanley, 4) Petronia Egger, married, Isaac Lowe. Zenas Givens and Margaret Kolb Egger Givens had a daughter, Florence Givens, b. June 22, 1872, in Caledona, Mississippi, she died, July 17, 1941 and is buried in Foster Cemetery, Van Buren, County, Arkansas. Zenas and Margaret Givens are also buried in Foster Cemetery. Would like to make contact with anyone related to these members of Samuel Givens and Cynthia Givens family: Children of Samuel and Cynthia Milligan Givens: 1)William E. , married Margaret J. Davis, children: Silvestor, Louisa, Samuel William was in company D, 24th , Mississippi, Infanty, out of Lowndes county, Mississippi. William was born 1827, in Alabama 2)Newton , born, 1826, Alabama 3)James R., born 1825, Alabama 4)Mary M., born 1830, Mississippi 5)Zenas Nelson Givens, b., 1833, Mississippi( I have quite a lot of information on Zenas descendants.(Zenas served in the same company during the civil war as his brother William E.)
