Hi! I'm a Gilmer too. I don't know how we fit into your line but I have a grandmother named Anne or Mary Jane Gilmer. She would have been born c. 1840 and married William Ferguson (who came from outer space.) Their son was named John Gilmer Ferguson. He married Anna Lashley who was the daughter of Job Lashley and Sara J. GILMER. This would have taken place in Northwest Ohio...Allen, Hardin and Marion Counties. William Ferguson is buried in LaRue, OH. I have dates, but not with me. I just joined this list and am thrilled to hear from Gilmers so soon.
