The Gilmores are more than mysterious! According to one source Samuel W. Gilmore ended up with his son Dr Elisha E. Gilmore in Bates Co MO. The Gillmore-Carter and Allied Families book says (and I quote) "Son Samuel Gillmore born 1812 Montgomery Co KY Married Oct 10 1831 Warren Co KY, Rosina Adair b 1813 KY, dau of Elisha Adair. They both died in Dade Co. MO" If they BOTH died in Dade Co, then when and where did SHE die, and when and where did HE die? I thought researching my Mary Smith was tough!! Help, please. Thanks, Pat
