My 4th gr. grandfather was Adam Gilmore, born abt. 1763, died March 5, 1836 in Bristol, Addison Co., VT. He was a private in the MA militia during the Revolutionary War. In his pension application, he states that at the time of his enlistment, he lived in Pelham, MA (April, 1780). So far, we have not found out who Adam's parents were, where he was born, or his actual date of birth. Perhaps one of you has also researched this branch of the family and can offer some help on this matter. Would love to hear from you. I have had several responses from persons such as yourself, who have not been able to locate parents of Adam Gilmore.
