    1. GILMORES IN MO.
    2. If all of us could post our first known Gilmore line that we know of that come to MO, and what county found in, maybe we could tie some of these families in together. My line is : John Gilmore(thought to be of Indian blood) married Mary Isaacs in Adair co. KY-1802-(a few months after Adair was taken from Green co.) John Gilmore was trying to sell land in 1807 in MO. (land record was ST. Louis Co.) Mary Isaacs's brother David Isaacs recieved a letter from father John Isaacs of Washington Co. KY to be administrator of his land in Howard Co. MO. David's father John Isaacs died in Washington Co. KY in 1827. David lived in Howard Co. MO on this land, and his sisters were there in Howard too. I have this John Gilmore on the 1830 and 1840 census of Cole co. MO. Also in Cole Co. MO. are his sons, Wilburn, John, and maybe a George.(not sure of old George.) Wilburn and John moved to Texas Co. MO. around 1848 with the James McKinney family. Census records of these Gilmores in Texas Co. Wilma McKinney
