While researching GILMOREs in Rockbridge I found the following information: 2 May 1865 Thomas K.* Gilmore*, 23, S, b/Missouri, Farmer, son of Joseph Gilmore & Catherine Gilmore, *B-1 has init. R., B-1A has Gilmon, married Mary E. Watson, 21, S, b/Rockbridge, daughter of Dr. James F.** Watson & Sarah D.E. Watson, Wm. F. Junkin officiating, ** B-1A init. different, not shown on page. pg 136 I have several questions about this and hope you can help me out. First, there seems to be some confusion as to the correct middle initial of Thomas. Does anyone know if it is "K" or "R"? Second, I can't seem to find a record of Thomas being born or farming in Missouri, and since he was married in Rockbridge did he return there to stay or go back to Missouri with his new wife.
