I noticed your post on the Gillespie LIst. I was raised near Pleasanton, south of San Antonio. With the exception of the Gillespie Family that owned the Ford Dealership in San Antonio I never was aware of any other Gillespies. Now they seem to be everywhere. I have very little on my line. My ggrandfather Samuel House Gillespie, Jr. was born in Tennessee and may have come to Texas in the mid to late 1800s and for some reason (we think to reconnect with family) went to Illinois where my grandfather, Lantie, was born in 1881. He and Samuel then returned to Texas where they both are buried. If any of these names cross your lines I would very much like to hear from you.
