It's time I submit what little I have on my Gillespies- James Gillespie born NC abt 1819. married "Eliza" from KY children- William Edward b. July 21, 1845 Payson, Adams Co, IL m. Altha Ann Childers 1869 Adams Co IL d. June 15, 1900 Quincy, Adams Co IL Arabelle(?) abt 1847 Payson(?), Adams Co, IL Charles W. born Payson(?), Adams Co, IL abt 1849 Henry born Payson(?), Adams Co, IL abt 1850 George born IL abt 1851 Samuel born IL abt1852 d. in Calif. Jennie born IL abt 1866 I am a descendant of William Edward. Much of his family came to the Pacific Northwest. I believe that Samuel's family should be in California. As far as the rest of the male Gillespies, I believed that they stayed in IL, but have no proof at this point. I think that Jennie married a Dillon and lived in the Chicago area. Arabelle married a McCrellais and stayed in Quincy, IL. Hopefully this may shake up someone tree! Thanks so much [email protected]
